London, UK, 14 August 2020 – Namos Solutions, a leading Systems Integrator and Managed Service provider of Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Cloud Applications, is proud to announce it has chosen AngelmanUK, a national support group for those affected by the rare genetic condition Angelman Syndrome (AS) as its new charity partner for 2020.

Named after Dr Harry Angelman who discovered the condition in the mid-1960’s the charity seeks to support people with AS, their families and their carers. The charity aims to educate and raise awareness of the rare neurological condition and the issues that surround it and helps many organisations and individuals in carrying out research.

This annual charitable initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibly (CSR) policy and demonstrates the company’s commitment to the principles on which its CSR policy is based.  Each year, Namos will partner with a chosen charity and focus on raising funds for that charity for the rest of the year. Funds are raised through a variety of events and activities and employees are also invited to raise money through sponsorship of various sporting events, including the London and Brighton marathons.

Paul Kavanagh, Business Development Director at Namos said, “This is the condition my daughter was born with and results in developmental delay, severe learning disability, poor or no mobility, no speech and in most cases epilepsy, requiring constant care and support for life. It receives no government funding and depends on fundraising and donations to survive. I am delighted that the Namos team are able to help them with their important work and I personally look forward to being involved in a number of fundraising activities with the team throughout the year.”

Lisa Court, charity trustee and treasurer said, “We are absolutely thrilled that AngelmanUK has been chosen as Namos’s charitable partner for 2020. This is a huge boost for our charity.  All of our trustees are volunteers and so every penny really does go into the charity for the benefit of supporting our families, friends and carers.  We offer vital emotional support and help as well as run regional events and national conferences throughout the year. With the support and generosity of companies like Namos together we can continue to raise the profile of AS and bring the people affected by this condition together.”
