London, UK, 3 September 2019 – Namos Solutions is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the UK Government-approved Cyber Essentials accreditation and has met the IASME (Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises) standard for GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) compliance. This accreditation demonstrates to customers that the company has taken the right steps to reduce the risk of falling victim to cyber-crime and that they are keeping their own and customers’ data secure.
Launched on 5 June 2014, Cyber Essentials is a government backed cybersecurity certification scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) that encourages organisations to adopt good practice in information security. It includes an assurance framework and a simple set of security controls to protect information from threats coming from the internet.
Organisations are required to demonstrate that appropriate policies and procedures are in place through the implementation of five security controls: Boundary Firewalls and Internet Gateways; Secure Configuration; Access Control; Malware Protection and Patch Management.
