Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

CSR Policy Statement

Namos Solutions Ltd (Namos) are a professional consulting organisation, specialising in the implementation and support of Oracle business solutions. We believe Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about understanding the business’ impact on the wider world and how we can leverage this impact in a positive way.

We are proud to display our commitment to being a socially responsible business, both internally and externally. We believe that it is crucial for us to make a positive impact on the communities in which we work and on our stakeholders.

For us at #TeamNamos, success is not simply about maximising profitability as a business. It is much broader than that, and it certainly includes being a responsible organisation. Our ethos of ‘big enough to deliver, small enough to care’ extends to the way in which we conduct our business in a sustainable way on a daily basis.

Our statement sets out our commitment as a business, to act responsibly on both a corporate and an individual level in relation to the four key responsibility areas that we have identified:

  • Our people and our workplace
  • Our clients and our suppliers
  • Our local communities
  • Our local and global environment

Legality

Namos will:

  • Respect the law
  • Honour its internal policies
  • Ensure that all our business operations are legitimate
  • Keep every partnership and collaboration open and transparent

Business ethics

We’ll always conduct business with integrity and respect to human rights. We’ll promote:

  • Safety and fair dealing
  • Respect toward the consumer
  • Anti-bribery and anti-corruption practices

Protecting the environment

Namos recognises the need to protect the natural environment. Keeping our environment clean and unpolluted is a benefit to all. We’ll always follow best practices when disposing garbage and using chemical substances, recycling, conserving energy and using environmentally friendly technologies and business practices.

Protecting people

We’ll ensure that we:

  • Don’t risk the health and safety of our employees and community.
  • Support diversity and inclusion.

Human rights

We are a committed equal opportunity employer and will abide by all fair labour practices. We’ll ensure that our activities do not directly or indirectly violate human rights in any country (e.g. forced labour)

Supporting the Community

Namos will initiate and support local community programs from time to time, for example sponsoring a local football team.

Charity & Volunteering

Each year, Namos will partner with a chosen charity and focus on raising funds for that charity for the rest of the year. Funds are raised through various events and activities held across the year and employees are also invited to raise money through sponsorship for various sporting events.

Namos Solutions Ltd has chosen to support Children with Cancer UK as their Charity of the Year during 2019 and as such are authorised to fundraise on their behalf.

The team at Namos organise and participate in a variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, including bake sales, raffles, Brighton and London Marathons, all in support of CWC UK. As the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer, the charity’s aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer.

About Children with Cancer UK

Every day 12 families in the UK will be told their child has cancer. It’s the most devastating news a parent can receive, their sole focus is to do everything they can to ensure their child gets better. At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. In doing so we liberate visionary researchers and accelerate breakthroughs bringing together extraordinary children with extraordinary research that will one day benefit everyone. Since 1988 we have funded over 200 childhood cancer research projects and thanks to these research projects, 8 out of 10 patients can now be successfully treated.

We support families whose lives have been turned upside down by helping to fund the building of free patient and family homes near hospitals around the UK, supporting charities by offering financial assistance to families during treatment and delivering unforgettable days out for children and families thus creating memories that can never be lost.

Our vision is a world where no child dies of cancer. Today, children with cancer ring their End of Treatment Bell to mark a huge milestone in their lives – the end of their cancer treatment.  We’ve been working to improve survival rates and the quality of survival in young cancer patients. Great progress has been made and together we’ve helped drive childhood cancer survival rates up from 63.7% to a predicted 84% in 2017*.

With your generous support, you will help fight the injustice of cancer in children.

*Survival rates are based on 5 year survival. The 84% figure for 2017 is an estimated figure by the Office of National Statistics, exact figures will be known by 2023.
