Introduction
In this four-part blog, we will be discussing the imminent expiry of Premier Support for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3. With the ever-changing IT landscape the options are diverse and can be confusing. Why is action required?
The 31st December 2021 deadline for E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Premier Support is fast-approaching so there is an urgent need for businesses to upgrade to Release 12.2, migrate to Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM or remain on 12.1.3 but pay a premium for Oracle ACS support. This means you will no longer receive any new bug fixes, updates (legislative or otherwise), or security patches for E-Business Suite.
With the COVID-19 pandemic having affected and delayed many business decisions, time is running out to start your 12.1.3 upgrade to R12.2 or migration to Cloud ERP/HCM.
What are the options available?
- Move to Oracle Cloud
You can move straight to Cloud ERP, HCM or EPM and adopt Oracle’s latest technology, future-ready SaaS solutions. - Upgrade to E-Business Suite Release 12.2
You can upgrade your on-premise Oracle E-Business Suite to Release 12.2, a continuous innovation release delivering ongoing improvements without requiring future major upgrades. - Migrate to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Alternatively, if you want to modernise your data centre as part of the upgrade, you can move your applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and benefit from increased efficiency at a lower cost. - Oracle ACS Support
If your transition or upgrade project will take longer than January 2022, Oracle Advanced Customer Services (ACS) can help fill the support gap with your legacy Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3.
